The more mobile your workforce becomes, the greater the likelihood that notebooks or Tablet PCs and the information they contain will be outside the security of your corporate firewall and vulnerable to unauthorized access in the event the PC is unattended, lost, or stolen. How can you be sure that your information assets are protected? The Authenex HDLock for Toshiba notebooks is the answer. Two factor authentication and 128-bit AES encrypt and secure the contents of the notebook's data files stored on the hard drive. The USB A-Key and a personal password act as the key to the notebook; without it the hard drive remains encrypted and inaccessible to anyone else. Upon boot up, hibernation, shut down, or removal of the USB A-Key, the hard drive remains locked and inaccessible to anyone but the owner of the unique A-Key and password. The only way to unlock and view the hard drive data is for the HDLock user to login using their A-Key and password. All encryption and decryption processes occur on the fly - and are transparent to the user.
