Rackmountable card cages for the BR-series rackmount modems

The CC1600-series card cages house the hot-swappable BR-series modems (including BR and BLR models) and the 56K bps Rack DSU. One system consists of a card cage with a hot-swappable power supply and one to sixteen modem of DSU cards. A second power supply may be added for redundancy. The card cage provides connections for power, data ports and phone line or digital service through a common backplane. It mounts in an industry-standard (19-inch) equipment rack. Each card cage requires one PS1600 or PS1648 power supply and accepts an additional power supply for redundancy. The card cage's data port connectors are 25-pin D-style connectors, which may be used for synchronous or asynchronous data transfer to the modem or DSU any may operate using the RS232C/D or V.35 interface. The CC1600-11L features an RJ-11 connector for each modem. The CC1600-21 feature 50-pin amphenol connectors for RJ-21 interfaces.
