Overview
SWSM STOR MIRRORING 4.5 MEDIA KIT To prevent data loss from
failure, error, or disaster, HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring
software provides replication of your valuable Windows data,
Exchange data, SQL Data, SharePoint, and Oracle data to another
server or site. Proactive replication is a key strategy that can be
coupled with tape backup and/or snapshot technology for continuous
data protection and point-in-time copies of data. Having replicated
data located at two locations, customers can recover their static
and transactional data in seconds without loss of productivity.
Storage Mirroring can also be utilized for remote availability,
centralized backup, data distribution/mining, and server/storage
migration. HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring provides host-based,
continuous replication for enterprise and midrange customers
seeking a low-cost alternative to expensive fabric or array-based
replication. Patented replication and failover technology
continuously capture byte-level data changes as they happen and
replicate those changes to one or more target servers to any
location without geographic limitations. By replicating only the
bytes that change, Storage Mirroring uses the absolute minimum
bandwidth required to replicate your data. Advanced features let
you control bandwidth usage and queue data changes for replication
during off-peak usage times if desired. The software does not need
special hardware to run and utilizes existing LAN or WAN
infrastructure that already exists in your environment - saving
time, money, and maintenance costs. Additionally, Storage Mirroring
is storage independent so it will support any DAS, NAS, and SAN
storage device and it will support many Windows platforms including
Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Storage
Server, 64bit Windows, and Windows on Itanium. Storage Mirroring's
flexibility, resource optimization, and application specific
protection enable customers to solidify their data and disaster
protection strategies.
