The HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array 1500 cs is a Fibre Channel SAN attached 2U controller shelf that connects to SCSI disk enclosures. If the business needs SCSI reliability then attach up-to-four SCSI enclosures for a raw capacity of 8.1 TB (using 56 - 146 GB SCSI disks). Mixing of SATA and SCSI enclosures are not supported behind the same controller at this time. The MSA1500 provides 2 Gb Fibre Channel to the hosts. The enclosure provides Ultra3 SCSI connection to the hard drive enclosures.
