Runner C6870U device offers a complete suite of
functionality, including Internet-ready capabilities, advanced
digital copying and Mail Box features, network printing and color
Universal Send� functions for conversion of hard-copy originals to
digital form for delivery distribution via multiple communication
mediums.
Delivering high-speed,
black-and-white letter-size output up to 68 ppm (letter), and color
output at 16 ppm (letter), it easily can handle the workload of
several dedicated devices. The color-enabled imageRUNNER C6870U
device is a revolutionary digital multifunction solution that is
fast and versatile, and lets you add color to your usual
black-and-white work when you need it.

Runner C6870U device offers black-and-white output
speeds of up to 68 pages-per-minute with the ability to handle
occasional color requirements at 16 ppm. The device also supports
fast scanning speeds of up to 70-ipm (ltr, 300 dpi).

Runner C6870U has been designed with an innovative
dual processor supporting up to 1GB RAM and a 80GB hard disk drive,
thus eliminating bottlenecks and improving network
efficiency.
- With Canon's standard
Color Universal Send technology, users are able to scan and
distribute documents to multiple destinations, eliminating expense
and administrative burden associated with conventional methods of
printing, filing, and forwarding of hard-copy documents. In
addition, users may add the optional PDF High-Compression Kit-A1 to
send complex and detailed color pages efficiently over network
lines and the Universal Send PDF Enhancement Kit-C1 offering
Searchable PDF and Encrypted functionality.

Runner C6870U can be transformed into an advanced,
easy-to-use fax machine.

the device's control panel, streamlining document

the Canon Color UFR II/PCL/PS Printer Kit-L1, which delivers
printing capabilities with support for PCL 5e/6, PostScript� 3�
emulation, and Canon's UFR II (Ultra Fast Rendering)
technology.
- The generous paper supply
of 4,200 sheets can be boosted to a bountiful capacity of 7,700
sheets for virtual uninterrupted productivity.
The Image Runner C6870U supports large
paper sizes of up to 13" x 19" and heavy weights of up to 140lb.
Index, and can accommodate tab paper and
transparencies.

the optional Finisher-R1 or Saddle Finisher-R2 for advanced
document finishing capabilities. The Saddle Finisher allows users
to create folded booklets for paper sizes including Letter, 11" x
17", and Legal-sized paper. Each finisher can be configured with a
hole-punch unit for professional-looking documents.
- Supports a host of
Internet-ready capabilities, including the optional Web Access
Software that allows users to call up Internet or intranet data

The Braille Label Kit-A1
contains transparent Braille labels that affix to each hard key on
the control panel except for the numeric keys. This is due to the
conventional layout of the numeric keypad, which already has a
protruded dot on the "five key," providing familiar entry for the
visually impaired. This kit provides visually impaired users with
improved access to copy and fax functions.
The Braille Label Kit-A1
can be used with Image Runner devices, as well as some
Color Laser Copiers, NP Copier products, and LASER CLASS
Facsimile.

| Enables visually impaired users to be
able to operate the copy functions on the device. These users can
select functions on the control panel and the machine will provide
voice guidance confirmations of the selected

eCopy Desktop is a
client-based software that provides network users with the ability
to treat eCopy document files just like paper, right on their
desktop computer. With eCopy Desktop, users can view and annotate,
perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to generate editable
text, and store or distribute eCopies from their desktops. eCopy
Desktop also allows users to combine or separate pages from
multiple eCopies, to create a new document of selected pages, or
attach a signature stamp.

| eCopy ShareScan drives the eCopy
ScanStation and serves the eCopies to the network. Once a document
is eCopied, images of the pages are displayed on the eCopy
ScanStation control panel, allowing the user to check the image
quality and make any adjustments prior to sending the eCopy to its
destination.
eCopy ShareScan integrates
seamlessly with Windows NT and Novell NetWare, enabling
administrators to manage user lists in the online address book, and
create Inboxes for multiple eCopy stations from an administrative
workstation anywhere on the network.

For easy distribution of
eCopies, the Desktop software uses the system's native e-mail
application to create e-mails with the eCopy as an attachment.
Users simply employ the familiar e-mail interface to select a
recipient, add a subject line and cover note, and send the eCopy on
its way.

| The Remote Operator's Software Kit
improves access for persons operating the Image Runner
C6870U series devices from a seated position. Users can
operate system functions from a laptop or desktop personal computer
using the optional Remote Operator's Software Kit, which emulates
the Image Runner control panel.
All control panel functions
including copy, print, fax, scan, and send functions from the touch
screen are available, including access to the hard keys. The Remote
Operator's Software Kit may also be helpful for persons with other
types of mobility or dexterity impairments with the use of an
alternative mouse.

RightFax integration for MEAP gives users both walk-up access and a
central point of control for hard-copy and electronic faxing. It
transforms paper-based documents to electronic format, delivers the
documents via standard fax, certified email or encrypted PDF and
provides notifications and history for fax tracking and audit
trails. In conjunction with Canon Image Runner devices,
it's the ideal solution for organizations that want a
