MultiSpot Network Printer Kit doubles the valueand the
workloadof Canon's reliable laser printer engine technology.
MultiSpot allows networked users to take full advantage of an
8-page-per-minute, 600 dpi laser printer engine, which is already
hard at work in your office as a Super G3 laser fax. MultiSpot
supports NetWare 3.1x/4.x and Windows NT 4.0 environments, and
soon, MultiSpot upgrades will add efficient network PC faxing and
network scanning capabilities that integrate seamlessly into your
existing network. MultiSpot is standard on the LASER CLASS
9000MS/9500MS and optional on the 9000S/9500S.
33.6 Kbps Dual Line Option provides twice the fax line power and
performance of standard facsimile machines. Send or receive two
faxes at once, or send and receive simultaneously. Both the primary
and secondary fax lines operate at 33.6 Kpbs, unlike some
competitive models that offer a second fax line at a reduced baud
rate. The Super G3 Dual Line Option is available only with the
LASER CLASS 9000S/9500S.
Super G3 Technology featuring JBIG compression significantly
reduces phone line charges by transmitting data at 33.6
Kbpsequivalent to approximately 3 seconds per page*twice as fast
as ordinary G3 machines, saving time and money while increasing fax
productivity. JBIG compression dramatically reduces transmission
time and is especially effective with halftone images.
Productive document feeding and scanning via the 50-sheet
Automatic Document Feeder. InstaScan technology scans originals
into memory at a rate of just 2 seconds per page.
High quality laser plain paper output with superior reliability
through Canon's exclusive top-loading, recyclable FX-4 toner
cartridge filled with Super Fine Toner. Every Canon FX-4 cartridge
yields up to approximately 4,000 high quality prints+, and is
easily replaced in seconds.
High volume paper capacities. The LASER CLASS 9000S and 9000MS
offer generous 600-sheet total paper supplies: a 500-sheet
letter-sized front-loading cassette plus a user-adjustable
100-sheet side loading cassette. The LASER CLASS 9500S and 9500MS
add a second standard 500-sheet letter-sized cassette for a maximum
of 1,100 sheets on-line at all times.
Dual Access enhances fax productivity by allowing for
transmission reservation during reception and memory transmission,
and memory reception and transmission while the fax is in use as a
convenience copier.
Quick On-line Transmission further speeds faxing productivity by
initiating the fax process and beginning document transmission as
soon as the first original has been scanned.
UHQ VI Image Processing technology ensures the transmission of
superior images by distinguishing between graphics and text on
outgoing documents. 64-shade Grayscale and Edge Enhancement
technologies transmit photos and graphics with excellent
clarity.
Up to 592 pages** of document memory standard on the LASER CLASS
9500S and 9500MS. The LASER CLASS 9000S and 9000MS are equipped
with up to 80 pages* of standard memory, and may be upgraded to 592
pages* as well.
12-hour Battery Backup is standard on all models, storing
documents safely in memory during prolonged power outages.
Productive dialing capabilities. Canon Laser Class 9000/9500
MS/S Series models feature 72 One-touch Speed Dials, 128 Coded
Speed Dials, a full complement of Polling, Broadcast, Batch, Memory
Transmission and Reception, Confidential Mailbox and Report
capabilities.
