Most functions or features are not lost when using the DOC-IT and DOC-IT Manager Software in the Year 2000 environment. The functions of Print, Copy and Scan are not based on any date dependencies and therefore are not impacted by the Year 2000. When using DOC-IT's front panel and scan tray as a walk-up fax machine with no interaction with the software, the system operates as normal using the date format of 01/01/00, indicating the date of January 1, 2000. However, when using the DOC-IT Manager software to send a Fax, the Send command will error with an invalid date prompt and by simply overwriting the date (i.e. /00), it will process the fax as programmed. PRINT - Function complies and is not dependent on the date.
COPY - Function complies and is not dependent on the date.
SCAN - Function complies and is not dependent on the date.
RECEIVE FAX - Function complies and is not dependent on the date and uses the xx/xx/00 date format. Receive Log indicates xx/xx/00 date format.
SEND FAX - Walk Up Using Front Panel - Sending a Fax using the DOC-IT's Front Panel works without additional interaction and uses the xx/xx/00 date format on the fax header and Send Log. The Confirmation Report is dependent on the PC system clock format (i.e. x/x/2000).
SEND FAX - Using DOC-IT Manager Software Interface - DOC-IT Manager software will not allow Send Fax after the Year 2000 without customer interaction to reset the date year. The send date in the software's dialog box rolls from xx/xx/99 to xx/xx/10 instead of xx/xx/00. After the year 2000, the date will need to be corrected each time a fax is sent using the Send Fax dialog box. Once corrected and sent, the cover page, fax header and Send Log uses xx/xx/00 date format. S The Confirmation Report is dependent on the PC system clock format (i.e. x/x/2000).
