Storage Mirroring can also be utilized for remote availability, centralized backup, data distribution/mining, and server/storage migration. HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring provides host-based, continuous replication for enterprise and midrange customers seeking a low-cost alternative to expensive fabric or array-based replication. Patented replication and failover technology continuously capture byte-level data changes as they happen and replicate those changes to one or more target servers to any location without geographic limitations. By replicating only the bytes that change, Storage Mirroring uses the absolute minimum bandwidth required to replicate your data. Advanced features let you control bandwidth usage and queue data changes for replication during off-peak usage times if desired.
