Overview of
The OKIFAX® 5600 Plus is built for speed. Because, in telecommunications, faster is definitely better.
Its modem, rated at 33.6 Kbps, is the fastest in its class, capable of transmitting a page to a similarly equipped unit in about 3 seconds1. And the shorter the transmission, the lower the phone bill — which looks especially good when figuring your operations budget.
High speed for a better bottom line
For even lower long distance rates, you can delay your transmission to go out at night or, for the price of a single phone call, you can transmit your message to a hub machine and have it relay-broadcasted at local telephone rates.
Instant Dial can improve your productivity: it immediately dials and starts transmitting while still scanning a multi-page document. If memory fills, scanning pauses until there's enough memory free, then resumes.
With its 3 second-per-page scan rate, a 30-page document scans in just over a minute. For additional productivity, 30 destinations can be dialed with the touch of a button, 99 more with two buttons.
Many OKIFAX 5600 Plus advanced functions can be performed simply by pressing a button, and its dual access feature enables the machine to perform two functions at the same time.
What's more, the machine is also a fast desktop copier (up to 8 pages per minute) and, with the optional Printer Interface, an 8 ppm, 600 dpi class LED printer, too.
Standard memory handles up to 200 pages1 (important if the paper supply or toner should run out when no one's around). Optional memory expansion cards can increase volatile memory to 360 pages1. Or battery backup memory expansion cards can provide up to 320 pages of memory if the power is cut off. The 250-sheet standard paper tray holds letter or legal paper, and the optional universal tray increases that to 750 sheets.
The OKIFAX 5600 Plus utilizes OKI's patented LED printhead technology. Because the printhead has no moving parts (unlike conventional laser technology), it's so reliable.
