It comes with a 14.4 Kbps modem and can transmit or scan a page in six seconds. The OKIFAX 5300 comes with a system of 15 one-touch auto dials and 64 two-digit auto dials with a 10-group auto dial capability of up to 79 locations each.

The OKIFAX 5300 is also a desktop copier with a speed of 8ppm. With the optional printer interface, it can be connected to any PC as an 8ppm 600 dpi-class printer as well.

With a standard memory of 256KB (capable of handling 17 pages) the unit is upgradable to 1.25MB of memory, bringing the page capacity up to 100 pages.

The unit comes with a 250-sheet standard paper tray that holds letter or legal size paper. There is an optional universal tray that holds 500 additional sheets for a total capacity of 750 sheets of paper.
